Anja Moore’s presentation recognized as “Best of FLAVA”

Congratulations to Anja Moore on her selection of Best of FLAVA. Her session, “Musik der DDR – Dance Dance Revolution oder Friedliche Revolution?” was extremely well received. The participants were able to share memories as well as discover similarities in the music that East and West Germany listened to behind the wall.  Most of the workshop attendees stayed behind to talk to each other about their reminiscences and experiences. Congratulations to the 2018 AATG-PAD winners and their teachers: Ismar Alickovich, Mills E. Godwin High School (student of Kristen Macklin) Joseph McDonough, Loudon Valley High School (student of Teresa Breitenthaler) Students will receive round‐trip air transportation from Newark or New York to Kulmbach or Nürnberg, cities in southern Germany. In addition to a two-week school and homestay program, they also make a special excursion to Berlin.
